China International Logistics Week (CILW) 2008, co-sponsored by China Communications and Transportation Association (CCTA) and Chengdu Municipal Government, will take place in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, from 12 to 16, November 2008.
CILW has grown with the logistics development in China. After 5 years, CILW has evolved into the biggest logistics event with highest level and most international influence in Asia. After the big success in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, CILW chooses Chengdu--the western logistics hub city in China--this year.
The CILW consists of over 10 activities including “The 7th China International Transportation and Logistics Expo” (CITLE), “Global Logistics Forum 2008”, “City Logistics Industry Promotion Event & Logistics Center Cities Achievement Awards Ceremony”, “The 2nd China International Logistics Bidding Convention”, “Logistics Press Tour Across China—Investment and Financing Investigation” and etc.
There will be over 3000 enterprises and about 50,000 person-times joining in the various activities of CILW. The exhibition area of the CITLE is over 20,000 square meters, and famous logistics enterprises such as COSCO, Sinotrans, and CSCL will be some of the major exhibitors.
Chengdu is one of the first approved “Famous Chinese Historical and Cultural City” and large central city in central and western China. It is the logistics and commerce center, financial center, science and technology center and transportation hub, telecommunication hub in western China and important base for high-tech industry, manufacturing industry, service industry and an important tourist city.
